GUIDELINES FOR E-POSTERS AND POSTERS

​​​​​​E-POSTER VIEWING

Abstracts selected for E-poster viewing are requested to prepare an e-poster which can be viewed at the e-poster stations in the Exhibition Area throughout the Meeting (21-24 Sept). Abstracts selected for e-poster viewing are also requested to prepare a traditional printed poster which will be displayed in the Poster Area in the Exhibition Area.

Electronic posters or e-posters are similar to traditional paper posters, but displayed on-site on a large LCD television screen.

 

E-POSTER DISCUSSION SESSION

Abstracts selected for E-poster Discussion Presentation are requested to prepare both an e-poster and a printed poster. Parallel e-poster discussion sessions will be taking place during lunch breaks on: Thursday, 22 September (11:45-13:30) and on Friday, 23 September (12:30-14:30)Exact scheduling will be emailed to the corresponding author of the abstract.

​All participants are invited to the E-poster Viewing Stations to hear the short presentations and to ask questions. Please note that there are a number of parallel e-poster discussions taking place at the same time, consisting of a number of e-posters in each session. Each e-poster discussion session will be guided by two moderators.

Presenters should be at the E-poster viewing stations 10 minutes before the start of the E-poster Discussion session and remain there until the session has finished. E​ach presenter has been allocated 5 minutes to present his/her E-poster, which includes 2 minutes for discussion

Abstracts selected for e-poster discussion are also requested to prepare a traditional ​printed poster which will be displayed in the Poster Area in the Exhibition Area.


POSTER VIEWING

Poster presenters should refer to the list of poster presentations in the final programme book to find their board numbers.

​Poster presenters are requested to be present at their designated poster board(s) during the coffee breaks on their day of presentation to answer questions. Kindly display your poster on allocated boards only. Please see the Scientific Programme for the board number allocated to your abstract.

​Posters to be mounted daily from 08:00-09:00, and are to be removed daily from 17:00-18:00. 

​Participants need to remove their poster boards by the end of the Meeting. The Organising Committee will not be responsible for posters that are not removed by.


IPOPI abstracts​ will be presented as regular posters only (not E-posters)


Preparation of Printed Posters

  • Please prepare your poster on one sheet of paper. Alternatively, presenters may display their material on several smaller sheets.
  • Posters will be displayed in portrait format.
  • The dimensions of the poster should not exceed 90 cm wide x 120 cm high.
  • Allocate the top of the poster for the title and authors as stated on the submitted abstract.
  • The text, illustrations, etc should be bold enough to be read from a distance of two meters (six feet).
  • Tacks and technical equipment will be available for the mounting of posters.
  • Please refer to the final programme book for the poster number assigned to you.

Preparation of E-Posters

After registering in the system, you will be able to upload your electronic poster. Each E-Poster must be submitted as a single page PDF document with a size of 1'080 by 1'536 pixels or 381 by 542 mm in portrait orientation. The E-Poster will be presented on our new interactive E-Poster terminals at the Meeting.

You can enrich your E-Poster by embedding videos (30 seconds) into your E-Poster. Your E-Poster has to be saved in the .pptx format if you use videos.

Afterwards, please upload your PowerPoint E-Poster file online, which includes your videos. If you do not have videos included, your E-Poster must be submitted as a PDF. PPT-Files will not be accepted.

In order to create your E-Poster, you can download PowerPoint or Keynote template which already has the right dimensions and recommended font sizes. The templates only need to be exported into PDF.
